Who wants to come play?? Heeere, Edna, Edna, Edna... Heeeere, Edna!

MONTHS ago, (was it a  year already?), one of my Mom's friends, Francie, gave me a box full of old jewelry she had helped clean out of someone's closet beucase she knows I make jewelry.  I quickly set it in my crazy-disorganized studio and forgot about it. Til a week ago....

 It was stuffed into quart-size ziplocs, in no particular order, excpet taped to each bag was al ittle tag that said "from Hall Closet".  I finally got around to digging through my little treasure trove.  Behold the yummy yumminess!!! (And then get in line to come over and turnt his into new stuff!!! Seriously-- jewelry making is waaay more fun with friends, so email or LEAVE A COMMENT... just sayin')  XXXOXOXXO!!

PS- I expect a comment on this from you, Edna! I know you can hardly contain yourself! I can hear your giggles 1500 miles away!

 

 

 

 

 

 

My Pride and Joy

Ok, so last week I found this adorable little chicken-coop style cubby thing at the local antiques mega-store.  Not knowing what to do with it right off, I left without it. Two days later it occurred to me that it would perfectly house my ribbons and bows and wrapping whatnots. Of course when I went back for it some lucky person had snatched it up.

But maybe the luck was mine, for now I have unleashed what few new was inside me. No, not the inner bitch, you all know that's there. No, I found my inner carpenter! That's right, I spent the holiday weekend with a circular saw, some nails and paint and a hammer.  Behold! My creation!

It stands up! It isn't wobbly!  I'm so proud of myself, I just can't tell you! That's right, my crafting life has just opened up another door. Although I think I'll stick with this, ahem, "primitive" styling of things for a bit!
